About 

Kate is a Sydney based artist primarily know for her portrait painting and public installations. 

After graduating from TAFE with a Building Certificate and an apprenticeship as a Draftsman, Kate worked and travelled abroad.  Furthering her studies she graduated with a Visual Arts Degree (UNSW) and a Masters of Gender Studies (USyd).  Reinforcing her skills in art and construction, Kate worked for many years at Crawford's Casting, a fine art bronze casting foundry in Strathfield. 

Over the past twenty years Kate has exhibited in Australia and the UK.  She is often represented in national and regional painting and sculpture art prizes in Australia.   In 2007 her portrait of 'Norm Hetherington OAM and friends' (aka Mr Squiggle) was hung in the Salon des Refuse. The portrait is now held in the National Portrait Gallery collection (Australia).  Kate's sculpture of the icon Maria SS. Adollorata resides at the Pauline Fathers Monastery, Penrose Park, Sutton Forest.
